I was commissioned to produce a series of black and white prints and drawings for the Capital Club in Dubai a prestigious private business club for business leaders, heads of state and royalty. The artwork was developed from my sketchbook drawings and photographs of Dubai. The paintings and prints for the Government Section Department in the Dubai Financial Center are a further development of these drawings
The development, destruction and abandonment of Dubai’s oldest residential areas are a sign of the current climate. This series of photographs and the further development of textile installation work aims to show how the relocation of families to the edge of the city destroys communities and cultures
