Today at THE AI SHOW @ ASU+GSV, we’re showcasing EDge AI — an offline AI engine built at ASU Next Lab to expand learning access where the internet doesn’t reach.
EDge AI runs powerful language models locally, without WiFi or electricity, enabling education in remote, rural, and underserved communities around the world. It’s designed to empower learners at the edge of connectivity — bridging the digital divide with adaptable, human-centered technology.
Visitors can explore how Meta Llama models are embedded into small, low-power devices to deliver:
- Offline AI assistance and translation
- Contextual and multimodal learning experiences
- Secure, private, and localized performance
This work is part of ASU’s Next Lab initiative, exploring the intersection of emerging technology, learning, and equity.
