Today felt truly historic as I witnessed the vote to accept the #PactfortheFuture—an inspiring, forward-looking commitment to building an inclusive, open, and equitable digital future for everyone.
A personal highlight was meeting Charles Hopkins and Katrin Kohl, UNESCO Chairs on Reorienting Education Towards Sustainability, and Nightingale Wakigera from One Health. These eye-opening discussions offered fresh perspectives on how the QS ImpACT framework could empower education systems to address the world’s most pressing challenges. Their insights resonated deeply, reinforcing the potential for education to drive sustainable change.
The Global Digital Compact’s emphasis on sustainable, responsible technology closely aligns with our mission at ASU’s Next Lab. Here, we’re exploring ways to make #AI more accessible and equitable, including offline/off-grid personalized AI solutions. By focusing on reducing energy consumption and bridging the digital divide, we’re working to ensure the benefits of AI reach even the most underserved communities.
This experience reaffirms my excitement for the future. As we move forward, these shared commitments fuel our vision at Next Lab to create a world where technology serves all, sustainably and equitably. Here’s to the transformative power of collaboration and the road ahead!
