The QS ImpACT Skills Challenge 2024 has recognized SDG Metropolis from Iqra University, Pakistan, as this year’s award recipient.

SDG Metropolis is an educational, quiz-based city-building game designed to raise awareness about sustainability and the United Nations’ 17 SDGs. The game enables players to make urban planning decisions that balance priorities such as climate action, social equality, clean energy, and responsible consumption. Through these choices, learners gain a deeper understanding of how local decisions can shape sustainable cities. You can read more about the project here: SDG Metropolis – QS ImpACT article
As part of the QS ImpACT Awards 2024, SDG Metropolis exemplifies how student-led design can connect learning with applied systems thinking and civic engagement. Awardees receive £100 seed funding to expand their local impact initiative, plus exclusive access to resources such as the Bare Necessities zero-waste living course and discounted Pee Safe products.
