Realm 4: Education Through Exploration

Over the weekend, Arizona State University hosted the very first Realm 4: Education Through Exploration Summit, a two-day event focused on elevating institutions and studios across ASU campuses that further Learning in Realm 4.



#Realm4 encompasses the next evolution of #education, building off of the existing benefits of technology enhanced learning. Previously, education has gravitated towards online, digital pedagogy. Today, emergent #web3technologies foster education that is #immersive, #exploratory, and increasingly #collaborative, with examples including #virtualreality and #augmentedreality opportunities for group learning.

At the two-day Realm 4: Education Through Exploration Summit, co-organized by Lisa Flesher, Lisa Manning, Jake Pinholster and Olivia Hernández, guests toured the new Media and Immersive Experience (MIX) Center in Mesa and enjoyed a keynote address from ASU President Michael Crow on Friday evening. The following morning, guests experienced hands-on demonstrations and met the innovators at ASU who utilize diverse, next-generation, and #technology-driven strategies for #learning in the 21st century and beyond.
